As an undergraduate of a BA in Social and Behavioural Studies, I have found Victor J Seidler's book incredibly useful. It is very eye- opening in its thoughtful account of the way in which society shapes boys into the men we - as women - find it so hard to deal with. Written with a feminist slant, the book explains how mens' emotions are suppressed until they are unrecognisable, touched upon only occasionally, triggered and expressed as anger and violence.
Very easy to read, this book is a must for all those studying the Social Sciences, particularly Sociology and Psychology.
